  1. Just Beautiful Melody. Thank you for sharing. Something you said to me today was that you let go of ego. You gave up putting those walls up and was a relief. I think maybe that is what is released. 💚

  2. Thank you Melody, for sharing this beautiful analogy of the sand dollar; which I had no idea about. Its neat how examining something in nature, can change our perception of life.

  3. I totally understand that. When my dad past away 2 years ago something happened inside of me. I was married 32yrs my husband had an affair I stayed 6 more years trying everything. When my dad passed away I thought to myself am I going to live like this the rest of my life? The answer was no I went home told my husband I was filing for a divorce and left 2 days later with just my clothes. My dad would be ecstatic with my decision. He gave me so much strength. Life is so short. I miss my dad daily some days are a struggle for me and my mom, but I feel like he set me free somehow. Thank you for your story.Kat

    • Kathy,

Thank you for your your response and glad the piece resonated with you. I am sorry for the loss of your Dad and, BRAVO for your courage and resolve. Good for you.
I wrote the piece two years ago and after re-reading it I am remembering how important that message was and still is. We must break open in order to allow something else to emerge within and from us. The time with my Mom through the weeks of her passing was the most profound experience I have ever had. It was deeply painful and beautiful at the same time. They seem to be inextricably tied. One of my recent posts reflects on that reality. It is called Excruciatingly exquisite beauty (aka) Being fully human. I wonder what you would think of that? By the way, how did you come across this piece? I would love to hear.
Love and light to you on your powerful healing journey Kat, Melody
